Sally Jane Payne is a painter living and working in Sussex on the south coast of England, where she is currently employed as Artist in Residence at The Sand Project. Originally studying foundation art at West Sussex College of Art and Design, she went on to gain a Fine Art Degree from Brighton University (Northbrook MET).

With influences as diverse as Andy Warhol, and the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood, she is strongly drawn to depicting female identity and the female psyche through her bold and expressive paintings. Sally is a member of The Fishbowl Art Collective.
